- Develop and test the MOE process to produce silicon and improve impurity removal during electrorefining.
- Conduct thermodynamic and kinetic modelling using thermochemical software.
- Analyse experimental data and optimise reactor performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide support for related projects.
- Prepare publications, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Doctoral qualification or equivalent research experience in Materials Science/Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related fields.
- Thorough knowledge of thermodynamic/kinetic modelling and hands‑on experience with thermodynamic/thermochemical packages.
- Experience with high‑temperature experiments, including furnace design and scale‑up (essential for Level B).
- Track record of high‑quality journal publications (essential for Level B).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and collaborate effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Benefits
- Full‑time, 2‑year fixed‑term with potential 1‑year extension.
