What you will doPerform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components.Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, as well as a variety of hand tools including electrical testing meters and other electronic testing equipment.Provide frontline technical and repair support through effective communication with Johnson Controls customers.Offer system repair and update recommendations, and assist in proposing solutions to Johnson Controls customers.Be part of an expanding team of industry-leading technicians while building your career with a first-class global organization.How you will do itLoad Johnson Controls field and network level controller software.Perform commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers and end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators), completing all required documentation.Keep management and contractors or customers informed of job progress and issues.Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.Document changes and contribute to as-built documentation.Engage in company-sponsored and personal training to maintain high knowledge and capability levels.Engage with customers to understand their systems and needs thoroughly.Communicate with contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training, maintaining a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.What we look forStrong understanding of HVAC systems, sequences, and applications.Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields.Ability to use hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.Solid knowledge of personal computer use.Attention to detail.Good communication and listening skills.(Depending on location, mounting and termination of low voltage devices may require special licensing.)
