About the Role
We are rapidly growing in this industry, as part of this growth our Operations team has an exciting opportunity for an Assets and Logistics Specialist to join our team based in our Head Office in Brisbane.
As the Assets and Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning and coordinating of transport logistics relating to assets and inventory within the business.
You will plan, manage and be financially responsible for the logistics department cost centre and be responsible for scheduling the long-haul drivers and equipment planning for scheduled deliveries.
The key responsibilities for this role will include:
Manage assets and staff assigned to the logistics cost centre to efficiently and flexibly meet the needs of operations, and where required engage with transport contractors to meet operational needs.
Identification of opportunities for reductions in overall project cost and schedules including consideration of time and resource implications.
Logistics scheduling for AN/ANE and cost matching of transport and raw material costs.
Management of all company vehicles, including registrations, allocations of costings, insurance claim processing and GPS (NAVMAN) tracking systems.
Preparation of all required project reports including forecast cost and schedule, progress and variance to plan in respect of costs, time and resources, and in conjunction with regional managers resolve potential schedule and planning issues.
Procurement and disposal of new and old assets.
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 4+ years in a same or similar role, preferably in the drilling and blast/mining sectors.
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
Be a self-starter and the ability to work autonomously whilst managing multiple processes.
Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
In addition to the above, whilst not essential, it would be highly desirable that the successful candidate will have proficiency in Chinese and English language to be able to assist in translating, liaising and implementing Yahua Headquarters' operations management requirements.
The successful applicant will also be required to travel to our various sites across Australia as part of this position.
