An exciting opportunity exists for a Full-Time ELC Educator position. The position is based at the Mother Teresa Early Learning Centre, Zuccoli, NT 0832 that is part of Catholic Education Northern Territory (CENT).
As our community continues to grow, we are seeking outstanding early childhood educators for Mother Teresa Early Learning Centre. Located in the vibrant suburb of Zuccoli on the outskirts of Darwin. Desirable candidates must have at least have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care OR working towards a qualification.

Success Criteria:
* Previous experience in an ELC within an education and care service
* Strong knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, and regulatory compliance requirements
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to foster a positive, faith-filled, and inclusive environment
* Current Working with Children Clearance (OCHRE Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification

The Position:
The position reports to Director of Early Learning Centre and the teacher uses their appropriate knowledge and skills to ensure that students receive superior quality education consistent with Catholic faith and Christian principles. Their role is to provide education for students in Catholic schools which is achieved through the;
* Planning and implementing educational programs, nurturing children's development, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment.
* Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with national and state frameworks.
* Lead and support the learning and development of children.
* Collaborate with other educators, families and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to children's education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and Implementing Curriculum:
Educators design and implement educational programs that cater to the developmental needs of children, incorporating diverse learning styles and engaging activities.
- Facilitating Learning:
They use various methods, including play, storytelling, drama, music, and discussion, to promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
- Observation and Assessment:
Observe children's progress, identify individual needs, and adjust teaching strategies to meet those needs.
Care and Support Responsibilities:
* Creating a Safe Environment:
Educators ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, taking precautions to prevent accidents and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
- Supervision and Discipline:
They provide age-appropriate supervision and guidance, promoting positive behavior and social skills.
- Promoting Health and Wellbeing:
Educators promote health and safety concepts, assisting children with daily routines like toileting and personal hygiene, and attending to sick children.
Communication and Collaboration:
* Communicating with Parents:
Educators regularly communicate with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress, development, and any concerns.
- Collaborating with Professionals:
They work with other educators, support staff, health professionals, and early childhood intervention specialists to ensure the best possible support for children.
Other Responsibilities:
Duty of Care: Have a legal and ethical duty to protect children from harm and ensure their well-being.
Compliance with Regulations: Must comply with relevant legislation, policies, and professional codes of conduct.
