Job Description
This position presents an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our Library Services team as a Programs Officer. As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality library programs and events that foster community engagement and promote lifelong learning.
You will play a key role in building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including agencies, organizations, and community groups. This involves creating strategic partnerships to deliver on community aspirations and promoting a sense of place and focus for community celebration.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and implementing engaging library programs and events
* Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders
* Collaborating with internal teams to deliver program outcomes
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Experience in a similar role or related field
* Excellent research, development, and implementation skills
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and influencing skills
* Ability to mentor, motivate, and train volunteers and staff
* Tertiary qualification in library and information studies, community development, events management, recreation, or a related field
