Euro Cafe in NSW is looking for a passionate kitchen staff to join our team. You’ll be responsible
* Physical set up and operation of the wash up area and thorough clean down area at the end of shift
* Ensuring all kitchen equipment, dishes, cutlery and glasses are cleaned
* Assisting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation
* Performing basic kitchen tasks such as peeling, cutting, and washing vegetables
* Supplementing food via herbs, spices, and/or salts, intended to enhance a particular flavour.
* Handling and storing food items properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
* Receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly
* Effectively regulate the temperature of cooking equipment (e.g.- ovens, grills, and other)
* Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service
* Can train the staff/apprentices if required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a cook role, preferably in a sandwich bar, café, or restaurant.
* Passion for food and creating unique, dishes and starters.
* Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* Creativity and a willingness to experiment with new ingredients and flavors.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Salary: $75,000 to $78,000 (Plus Superannuation). Experience :1-2 experience required. Qualification: Cert 3 in commercial cookery or equivalent. Visa Status: Full working rights. Job Type: Full-time
