Key Role in Rural Mental Health Services
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Central Queensland Rural Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical services to individuals and communities in rural and remote areas of Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mental health professional who wants to make a genuine difference in the lives of Queenslanders living in rural and remote regions. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including private practice, NDIS, and other mental health services, to deliver evidence-based clinical support to people with mental health concerns.
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and treatment plans for clients with mental health issues
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery and coordination
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations and healthcare providers
* Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements:
* Approved tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a psychologist (full or provisional) or current membership/eligibility with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Driver's licence (preferred)
* Demonstrated competence in providing full-range mental health services, including psychological assessments
* A commitment to providing evidence-based clinical support to people with mental health concerns
* Extensive experience in evidence-based and best-practice clinical assessment, treatment, referral, and case management development
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing mental illness
