The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the market strategy of the Iona Gas Storage Facility.
This is a high impact role working closely with industry partners, senior leaders, and boards to shape growth initiatives, optimise portfolio performance, and position Iona for success in a dynamic and complex energy market. You will influence strategy at the highest level while remaining hands on in commercial execution.

You are a commercially astute energy professional with a strong strategic mindset and a proven ability to deliver value in complex environments.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
* Extensive experience in energy or infrastructure assets, with experience in origination and complex commercial arrangements
* A strong track record negotiating commercial off‐take and bespoke agreements
* Sound knowledge of the Australian energy market
* Strong analytical, risk management, and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and boards
* A collaborative working style and the ability to perform under pressure
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Lead the commercial and market strategy for complex growth initiatives at Iona
* Provide thought leadership on energy market trends, risks, and opportunities
* Identify, develop and grow new markets and services that support long term asset value
* Structure, negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements, including short term optimisation opportunities
* Oversee key commercial relationships and manage portfolio risk and returns
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, legal, and business development to integrate commercial strategies
* Enhance and continuously improve market analysis and insights capability
* Prepare high quality reporting and present to senior executives and the Board
* Represent Lochard Energy at relevant industry and regulatory forums
* Have responsibility for commercial and revenue outcomes
