Joining this role, you will be part of the Global Network Banking (GNB) business. GNB's focus is to provide banking services to subsidiaries of CIB customers through consistent, in-depth, and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network, with the goal of deepening our existing client relationships. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients whose headquarters' banks are with HSBC in other countries, targeting superior customer service and upselling to improve revenue growth.
Based in Melbourne, this role offers a great opportunity to broaden your corporate banking experience within an environment managing a large, internationally focused portfolio, providing new challenges across our full suite of corporate banking products including credit and lending, transactional banking, trade finance, markets, financial crime, and credit risk management.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients and internal colleagues both locally and internationally across a wide range of product and client relationship matters.
* Establishing strong and close working relationships with key individuals in clients' management teams.
* Working collaboratively with other global businesses, product, and service partners to identify opportunities to connect customers and strengthen the relationship.
* Deepening client relationships and developing effective strategies to improve income generation, anticipating customer needs, and providing superior service to position HSBC as the market leader.
* Negotiating and structuring credit facilities and documentation within credit/lending policies and market standards, based on a thorough understanding of clients' businesses, financing needs, and market conditions.
* Maintaining a proactive calling program to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders are contacted regularly.
* Delivering high-quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions, and acting according to the highest professional standards.
