We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer to support one of our biggest clients, at their Perth head office on a 12-month initial contract.

8. 5/2 Rotation
The project:
Primary project for a top-tier mining client to improve the sustainability of an existing mine. The goal is to find and develop two new ore bodies to ensure the mine can keep producing at current levels in the future. The project involves two sites about 40 kilometers apart in Western Australia.
About 35 people will start on the project. It's expected to take about 18 months for the planning and purchasing part, with a possibility of more than two years for the actual work.
First, there will be six months of basic planning, then around 18 months of detailed planning. The project includes building new roads, pipelines, and other infrastructure to support the mine.
What we hope you will bring:
9. Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
10. 8+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
11. Demonstrated proficiency and understanding in earthworks and roads engineering design.
12. Previous experience working within the mining industry is desirable.
13. For overall design - new NPI infrastructure - haul road networks (civil earthworks), gas pipeline crossing, LV access roads, surface water management (waterway crossing), connection/extension to existing raw water distribution, satellite NPI facilities, and communications infrastructure.

Duration:
DES and PES are estimated for 18 months, with also further potential for 2+ years of implementation.
The first 6 months of the project will be basic design. Then transition to detailed design with an estimated 18 months minimum of work ahead.
