Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals of all types, managing food stocks, including ordering and deliveries, maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen, and helping coordinate graduation ceremonies and special functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the dietary needs of students and staff.
* Manage food stock levels, including ordering and receiving deliveries, to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations.
* Assist with the coordination of graduation ceremonies and special events held by Flight Training Adelaide.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Australian qualification in Commercial Cookery coupled with at least two years' experience.
* Excellent knowledge of safe food handling practices.
* Polite, professional, and helpful approach.
* Sound leadership and conflict resolution skills.
* Current First Aid Certificate and resuscitation certificate.
Work Arrangements
This role involves working on a rotating roster, which includes early morning starts, late finishes, and working public holidays as required due to operational needs.
