Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Role Overview
BAE Systems Australia is seeking skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join its team in Williamtown, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about aviation and want to be part of a dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high-quality work standards.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft structures, bonded and non-metallic composite materials, and components.
* Work in an aviation environment and adhere to all relevant regulations and airworthiness requirements.
* Carry out scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by the Team Leader.
* Ensure that all maintenance and technical documentation is authorized and compliant with industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures or equivalent qualification.
* Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance.
* Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Aircraft.
* Military or Civil Aviation Maintenance Licence (highly desirable).
* Understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations, processes, and procedures.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and either currently possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) apply, and candidate nationality may be a factor in determining suitability for this role.
