This is a newly created Analyst role joining the Sydney‑based Corporate Development team, this role is ideal for a technically strong finance professional seeking group‑level exposure across both the BORG Group, supporting high‑quality analysis that informs strategic decision‑making across Mergers & Acquisitions and Investments. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment where insight, collaboration and commercial thinking are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment evaluation and decision making
* Support end-to-end deal execution including managing data rooms, coordinating external advisors (legal, financial, tax) and tracking due diligence workstreams
* Conduct commercial and strategic analysis of target companies and investments, including market analysis, competitive position and key risks
* Prepare high quality investment papers, presentations and briefing materials
* Assist in managing multiple concurrent transactions, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of a high standard.
About You
* 3+ years’ experience in a professional services or high‑growth environment such as M&A or transaction services, consulting, investments or banking.
* Strong foundation in finance and accounting, with the ability to apply concepts in a commercial context.
* Demonstrated capability in financial modelling, valuation and analytical problem‑solving.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* A team‑first mindset with positive energy, comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
* Exposure to Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) will be highly regarded but is not essential.
