Health and Safety Specialist
This is a challenging role where you will work closely with operational business leaders, safety teams, compliance teams, external consultants, regulators, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain contact with injured workers, encouraging active participation in rehabilitation programs.
* Lead the delivery and ongoing development of the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Management System.
* Develop and document Return to Work Plans in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
* Facilitate return-to-work programs by collaborating with employees, managers, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and best practices in health and safety.
* Provide expert advice on health, safety, and well-being across multiple business units.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and safe work method statements.
* Lead Health & Safety Committees, supporting representatives to be effective in their roles.
Requirements:
* Cert IV or higher in WHS (Work Health & Safety).
* Experience in a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisory position.
* Advanced knowledge of NSW WHS legislation, methodologies, and best practices.
* Strong problem-solving and consultation skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
* Change management expertise and ability to facilitate collaborative relationships.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to assess and manage risk while driving for results.
* Professional presentation and a customer-focused approach.
This is a permanent full-time role with a Hybrid working arrangement, 1 day WFH with the remaining time based on site.
