Job Description
This is an opportunity to secure the digital and physical perimeter of a major critical infrastructure precinct. As our Cyber Security Lead, you will answer the "Challenge Us" mandate by defining the security posture for a converged environment where Operational Technology (OT), Enterprise IT, and Public-Facing Digital Platforms intersect. You will be architecting the defence of a city-scale ecosystem that spans Site-wide SCADA and Autonomous Infrastructure through to Customer Identity (CIAM) and Mobile Applications.
Your mission is to ensure trust in a highly connected environment. You will lead the security strategy for complex integrations, ensuring that Private 5G networks and LoRaWAN sensor grids are hardened against intrusion, and that the data flowing from Logistics Screening and Video Analytics systems remains secure. You will oversee the deployment of Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB) to protect data moving between on-premise Electronic Access Control systems and cloud-based Technology Operations Platforms. Working alongside the Application Architect, you will enforce a "Security by Design" culture, ensuring that new innovations—like Digital Concierges or Virtual Queuing —do not introduce vulnerabilities into the critical operational network.
About You
We are looking for a strategic security leader who understands that in a transport and operational environment, availability and safety are just as critical as confidentiality.
Qualifications
* Critical Infrastructure Heritage: Experience in Cyber Security, with specific leadership experience in high-security environments such as Transport Hubs, Resources, Defence, or Utilities.
* IT/OT Convergence: Expert application of the Purdue Model and SOCI Act principles to secure the interface between Corporate IT and Critical OT systems (SCADA, BMS, and Pavement Management).
* Identity Architecture (CIAM & EIAM): Deep experience managing complex identity landscapes, distinguishing between high-volume Customer Identity (CIAM) for public apps/WiFi and strict Enterprise Identity (EIAM) for staff and contractors.
* Physical Security Integration: Proven ability to secure physical-digital systems, including Electronic Access Control, Advanced Camera/Video Management Systems, and Biometric Screening platforms.
* Cloud & Network Security: Hands-on experience with Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), Private 5G security patterns, and protecting IoT/Edge devices (Smart Meters, Environmental Sensors).
* Threat & Risk Management: Ability to translate technical risks from Foreign Object Detection systems or Autonomous Assets into business-focused Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) and Security Management Plans
* Governance & Compliance: Practical mastery of Essential Eight, NIST and ISM frameworks, ensuring that all digital platforms—from Point of Sale to Emergency Incident Management —meet strict Australian compliance standards
