Overview
We're looking for a skilled Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at our Deer Park Landfill site. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced with heavy machinery and keen to contribute to essential waste operations that support the local environment.
Responsibilities
* Operate machinery such as dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxys
* Perform tip face operations including waste placement and compaction
* Follow plans and EPA guidelines
* Carry out daily cover operations, including the mixing and application of cover materials
* Conduct basic site maintenance and assist with light manual handling tasks when required
Qualifications
* A valid plant operator ticket or equivalent competency of at least two-three of the above (VOC, RII, etc.)
* Proven experience operating dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxy trucks
* Good understanding of safety and environmental compliance in a landfill or earthworks setting
* Ability to work well in a team and follow operational plans
* Previous experience in landfill operations or waste industry will be advantageous
* HR Licence will be beneficial
