We are currently seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our busy project delivery team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer who plans and conducts professional engineering work without detailed supervision but with guidance on unusual features.
Our Geelong office is located in the heart of Newtown within walking distance of Barwon River and Pakington Street. This is a fun and supportive office where you will be involved in diverse projects from concept to completion. We have regular continuous development opportunities and access to experienced senior engineers who can help work towards your career goals.
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;
* Assisting senior engineers with the analysis of information, production of designs and computations
* Producing designs, documentation and reports to meet client requirements
* Assisting with the planning, managing and monitoring of projects
* Attending site inspections
To be considered for our team you must have the following skills, experience and attributes;
* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
* 2 years' local experience in a consulting environment preferred
* Strong relevant technical knowledge with experience working with Australian Building Codes and Standards
* Exposure to Spacegass, Structural Toolkit and RAPT preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Well organised with excellent time management
* Enthusiastic with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and quality
* Practical understanding of local construction methodologies and techniques
* A keen interest in the structural engineering design of building structures
