About the Role
The primary objective of this position is to operate machinery effectively in shaping, cutting, and forming steel components for material handling solutions. This involves ensuring precision parts meet exact specifications and supporting quality manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate shop equipment (saws, presses, brakes, punches, etc.) to fabricate steel parts accurately.
* Read and interpret blueprints and job specs accurately.
* Measure and inspect workpieces carefully for accuracy and quality.
* Perform minor machine maintenance and remove surface defects promptly.
* Adhere to safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in metal fabrication or machine shop operations.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints correctly.
* Familiarity with standard and metric measurements.
* Certification or ability to certify in LOTO and crane operation.
* Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
