Principal Electrical Engineer – HV Transmission Lines

Randstad has partnered with a well established engineering consultancy company, providing full in-house specialist engineering solutions in Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer with experience in high voltage transmission lines. This role can be base in either Adelaide or Perth, offering flexible work arrangements and leadership opportunities across majoy energy infrastructure projects. This is a key technical leadership position that will se you working on Transmission Line Desgn (132kV - 500 kV) for both new builds and upgrades across utility and renewable energy sector.
Key Resposibilities
* Lead and deliver concept, detailed, and construction designs for HV overhead transmission lines
* Provide technical oversight, peer reviews, and design assurance
* Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including utilities, developers, and contractors
* Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on industry standards and best practices
* Contribute to bid preparation, proposals, and project scoping activities
* Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, codes, and safety requirements
About You
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
* Minimum 10 years' experience in HV transmission line design
* Strong background in 132kV, 220kV, 330kV or 500kV line design
* Proficient with Power Line Systems (PLS-CADD) and other relevant software
* Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility for chartership
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* International applicants must hold work rights for Australia
