While marine experience is preffered we are also interested in talking with individuals from other mechanical fields such as Diesel Mechanics / Fitters and automotive mechanics that may be looking for a change. 2nd or 3rd year Apprentices are also encourgaed to apply.

The Role
As a Marine Technician at Seatech, your duties will include:
* Servicing & maintaining marine engines and drivetrains (mainly Volvo Penta and similar)
* Diagnosing and repairing engine & vessel systems
* Maintaining marine generators (Kohler, Onan, and others)
* Re-powering vessels
* Maintianing vessel oprating systems
* Performing on-water testing, collections, and deliveries
* Communicating clearly with both the team and customers
* Work can be performed on and offsite in marinas or at customers location
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified mechanical tradesperson (marine background preferred, but other mechanical trades welcome)
* Experience with engines drivelines and 12v electrical systems
* Excellent diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
* Strong work ethic — self-motivated, reliable, and a team player
* Passion for boats and being on the water
* Valid driver’s licence (boat licence a plus)
* Brisbane-based applicants are also encouraged to apply as we have plenty of clients in the area but for this you must have marine experience!
