As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking **Traffic Controllers **to join our team to help successfully deliver some of our major projects.
**Overview of role**:
As a Traffic Controller you will be directing traffic in an organised way to ensure public safety at construction zones, accidents, public events or other road disruptions. Using signs and other devices, you will manage the movement of emergency response teams, construction workers and the public.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Professionally handle public interaction
- Direct traffic using a stop-slow sign and other traffic control devices
- Give and receive radio updates to coordinate with other road traffic personnel, construction workers and emergency response teams
- Complete site checks and monitor traffic behaviour and flow to ensure public safety
- Take instructions from crew leaders, foremen, managers, inspectors, auditors or officials
**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- Traffic controller (TCR)
- Implement traffic control plans (IMP)
- Prepare a work zone traffic management plan (PWZ)
- Construction induction
