We seek a multi-skilled urban planner/designer with 4-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in strategic planning, urban design, smart cities, urban development, and policy preparation. The role involves working on strategic planning, master planning, smart and livable cities, urban policy projects, including international city development programs. Our team has a robust pipeline in planning policy, international smart cities, place and livability, strategic planning, and master planning.
You will be eager to develop strong client relationships, contribute to various projects locally and internationally, and support the growth of our planning and design business in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. As a senior member of the Sydney Urban Planning and Design team, your primary responsibilities include:
* Leading the Urban Planning and Design team from our Sydney office, focusing on strategic urban planning, urban design, master planning, and international city development in the Asia Pacific region.
* Collaborating with the Principal, Urban Planning and Design to:
o Manage and deliver high-quality technical services for Ramboll projects in Sydney, NSW, and the Asia Pacific region.
o Support team growth in capacity and client base within NSW, Australia, and the Asia Pacific.
Your role also involves:
* Supporting the growth of the Urban Planning and Design practice by emphasizing quality and building strong client relationships.
* Establishing and maintaining external and internal relationships to identify and pursue new work opportunities.
* Building a diverse project backlog to facilitate organic growth.
* Mentoring and training junior team members.
* Representing Ramboll Australia and the Sydney office in industry forums.
Your starting point for growth

* At least 5+ years of postgraduate experience as a senior-level planner.
* Preferably, consulting experience in an international firm.
* Preferably, international project experience, such as in Southeast Asia.
* Experience with statutory planning, environmental/social assessments, master planning, strategic planning, and smart cities.
* Ability to work across various sectors, locations, and client markets.
* Leadership skills and meticulous project management.
* Strong client relationship skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
