How you create impact
You will be part of the Air Logistics team, adding your leadership expertise and warehouse skills to the delivery of operational excellence. Your primary objective is to supervise the warehouse team, manage the operations and throughput of customer products, whilst creating a safe working environment.
What we would like you to bring
* To assist in the responsibility for the performance of the allocated air logistics deport/warehouse (AW) site including warehouse operations, office operations + information systems.
* Compile to department and Kuehne & Nagel regulations
* Experience in airline handling and operations
* To closely monitor and supervise the performance of any subcontractors associated with the warehousing function.
* To act as focal point to support and resolve operational dispute over arrivals and claims.
* To oversee the selection, professional development + motivation of all warehouse employees with equitable work distribution.
* Connect with your staff and subcontractors, monitoring performance + ensuring careful handling of customer products while keeping a watchful eye on compliance with health + safety procedures inside the warehouse.
* To achieve key performance indicators (KPI) and ensure the team is delivering against their KPI.
* To execute operational tasks in a safe + compliant manner.
* To collaborate with Quality, Safety, Health + Environment (QSHE) in adhering to safety procedures in order to minimize property + safety loss.
* To manage continuous improvement projects for the site.
Requirements:
* Initial experience in decision making and problem-solving skills
* Experience in a similar position is highly desirable
* Should hold a valid Driver's License and Forklift License
* Proficient verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient supervisory skills and team-oriented mindset
* Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
* Openness to change and continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and customer satisfaction
