Job Description:
We are hiring! Gold Coast Disability and Youth is seeking an experienced Disability Support Workers with a robust background in complex mental health support and a Certificate IV (or higher) to join our team. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience working with individuals with Complex and Challenging behaviours BPD, PTSD, and Schizophrenia. This role involves mentoring young people, supporting their needs, and facilitating the delivery of successful Child Safety procedures and protocols. Candidates should be passionate about assisting young people with disabilities and possess excellent communication skills.
We are looking for a team of workers to support a range of children and young people with daily activities, community access and overnight sleepovers.
Responsibilities:
* Achieve positive outcomes for clients
* Empower clients to succeed through various pathways.
* Support clients' personal growth and development.
* Optimize the feelings of safety and security for the clients.
* Maintain documentation of service provision and reporting.
* Contribute to developing and delivering a structure to daily living in GCDAY housing.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work/Disability (or equivalent related qualification)
* Ability to plan and prepare for client issues.
* Availability to work sleepover shifts.
* NDIS Working Screening Check.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
* Current Blue & Yellow card (or ability to obtain)
* Driver's license and own car.
