Senior Service Officer Finance Role
As a Senior Service Officer Finance, you will provide finance services and contribute to a positive customer experience within the Department of Communities and Justice.
You will be part of a specialised finance team processing banking and reconciliations transactions across DCJ.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create a positive customer experience by providing finance services, support, and advice
2. Support the development of the team and assist on complex issues
3. Follow agreed processes to maintain data within the finance system, ensuring changes are authorised within Department delegations, and ensure data timeliness, accuracy, and compliance
4. Maintain knowledge of and interpret financial payments, legislation, policies, and procedures
5. Complete manual calculations and adjustments
6. Handle the day-to-day review of bank statement load errors, post-processing errors, manual allocation of receipts, manual journals for incorrect postings from automated bank statement load, and any additional requirements for banking reconciliations
7. Support testing of any system changes to Banking settings or design
8. Support Strategic Finance with reconciliations and ad hoc information requests
9. Maintain reconciliations in accordance with accounting standards, department procedures/guidelines, and meet delivery timelines.
The Shared Services and Customer Experience (SSCX) area partners in the delivery of value-added shared services, performance, and risk solutions that result in improved customer experiences. The work we do enables our customers to deliver their services.
SSCX provides HR/Payroll and Finance transactional services to several entities within the Justice Cluster. The Finance Reconciliations Team provides services for Payroll/Finance Reconciliations, Bank Reconciliations, and Workers Compensation claim reimbursements.

1. Able to maintain accuracy and consistently provide timely service in a high volume, busy environment
2. Customer-centric approach in meeting Service Partnership Agreements
3. Maintain a working knowledge of legislative, policy, and procedure changes
