Low-Latency Java Expert
Enhance our in-house connectivity platform and drive key initiatives related to electronic trading.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver a robust and efficient connectivity platform through the enhancement of existing systems.
* Own end-to-end delivery: gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support business needs.
* Shape the platform's architecture and drive simplification initiatives to ensure future-readiness.
* Optimize and reduce latency to maintain competitive edge; provide second-level production support for high availability and reliability.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in low-level Java development with a focus on tuning for low-latency trading systems.
* Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and its application in trading environments.
* Proven ability to work well under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with automated testing, including building testing harnesses.
* Familiarity with performance testing and market data handling to optimise system efficiency and reliability.
