We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to deliver efficient pipelaying services and support the effective delivery of Council operations.
In this role, you will apply concreting techniques in line with Water/Wastewater quality procedures, ensure the safe use of power tools and minor plant, and keep supervisors informed of job progress.
You'll actively contribute to our Quality Directions Strategy by promoting best practice and maintaining a strong customer service focus.
Effective communication with staff and the public is essential, along with a commitment to Workplace Health and Safety standards, including compliance with Main Roads MUTCD, Environmental Protection, EEO, Anti-discrimination, and privacy obligations.
Additional duties may be assigned in line with your classification level.

This role will work from our Garbutt Operations Centre.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Mandatory
Demonstrated experience in pipelaying and pipeline maintenance within the construction industry, including plan interpretations and experience with large diameter pipes.
Knowledge of the W.A.S.A Standards.
Good knowledge of industry standards, procedures, policies, and operational methods.
Customer Service Skills commensurate with this classification level.
Problem solving abilities and skills commensurate with this classification level.
Demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to the position.
Demonstrated ability to operate minor plant and power tools eg.
oxy welders, drills, diamond saws and quick-cut saws.
Current "C" class driver's licence.
