About the Role:

* Provide Anatomical Pathology services during normal working hours;
* Personally carry out a share of the departmental histo- and cytopathology reporting load including (for cytopathologists) performance and interpretation of fine-needle aspiration biopsy cytopathology;
* Participate in Quality Assurance and Utilisation Review programs;
* Assist in maintenance and selection of equipment;
* Participate in teaching and research duties;
* Promote good patient care and the good reputation of the Department and the Hospital;
* Participate in the Anatomical Pathology on-call roster.
Responsibilities:
* Daily operations of Anatomical Pathology services with minimal supervision;
* Reporting results to healthcare professionals using high-quality, timely pathology reports;
* Contributing to staff training and professional development initiatives;
* Reviewing policies and procedures for quality improvement and compliance.
* Possess specialist registration with the relevant national regulatory agency;
* Fellowship of a recognized medical specialty college in Australia;
* Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
Additional Information:
This role is classified as a Specialist Medical Practitioner. You will be required to contribute to education and training programs. A valid Work Visa or Permanent Residency is required for this position. "],
