About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support and be mentored by the Finance Manager in a newly created role. This role offers exceptional learning and development opportunities, providing hands‑on exposure to the full accounting lifecycle, finance systems, projects, and international operations. While primarily focused on supporting Australian activities, you’ll also have occasional involvement with tasks related to US operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
* Expense management and credit card reconciliations
* Month‑end accounting support
* Bank reconciliations and reporting
* Payroll processing and timesheet management
* Assisting with finance systems (MYOB Acumatica and ProSpend)
* Ad‑hoc finance and procurement support
Development Opportunities:
* Exposure to and participation in system improvements and implementations
* Assisting with audits, project reporting, budgets and forecasts
* Supporting US operations and collaborating with overseas employees
About You
We are seeking candidates that have recently completed a Bachelor of Commerce/Business/Accounting and are genuinely looking to develop their career as a commercial accountant. While work experience is highly regarded (either in accounts, retail or hospitality), we are looking for someone with the attitude and an interest to learn. As the ideal candidate, you will be able to demonstrate:-
* Self‑motivation with a proactive approach
* Strong problem solving skills
* Clear and confident in both verbal and written communication
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel
* Keen to build a long‑term career in accounting
