As a Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and informed guidance to the business, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical obligations, and driving strategic objectives forward.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about commercial contracts and technology, looking to join a dynamic and global legal team. You will have the benefit of being part of a tight-knit APAC legal team, consisting of three lawyers, as well as access to the global Insight legal team, comprising approximately 25 lawyers across Canada, North America, and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide sales & pre-sales contract support, including drafting, review, interpretation, and negotiation of general and complex commercial contracts.
* Offer legal support to bids and tender teams, reviewing bid contracts, drafting departures, and providing contract advice.
* Prepare, review, and negotiate partner, supplier, and reseller contracts, including distributor agreements, global ICT supplier agreements, and bespoke partner agreements.
Requirements
* A law degree from an Australian University, with the ability to practice on an unrestricted practising certificate in New South Wales or Queensland.
* A minimum of 3-5 years' post-admission experience at a top or mid-tier law firm and/or in-house legal position, with a background in commercial contracting and technology law.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements.
You will be detail-oriented, with excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple transactions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
