* North West Tasmania
* Senior Leadership Role
Do you want to:
* Shape a best-practice regional response to family violence and homelessness.
* Be part of building a new, values-led service model.
* Work alongside a committed CEO and leadership team during a pivotal period of change.
* Make a lasting difference for women and children in North West Tasmania.
Help us redesign how we support women and children
North West Tasmania Women's Shelter is undertaking a significant transformation — re-imagining best-practice, trauma-informed and feminist crisis support in a complex, regional context.
We are seeking an experienced Reform Lead to work alongside the CEO to drive and embed meaningful organisational change. This is a rare opportunity to influence systems, culture and practice, and to help build a service that genuinely centres lived experience and does things differently to achieve better outcomes for women and children.
Who are we?
NWTWS (formally Warrawee Women's Shelter) is a specialist crisis accommodation and therapeutic support service for women and children experiencing family violence and/or homelessness.
We are a values-led, intersectional feminist organisation committed to trauma-informed practice, equity, and centring lived-experience voices in service design and delivery. We are currently implementing an exciting new service delivery model and organisational structure aligned to these commitments.
The Role
The Reform Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for driving organisation-wide reform across service delivery, workforce, governance and culture.
Working closely with the CEO, you will:
* Lead complex reform and change initiatives aligned to the Strategic Plan (2025–2028).
* Drive safety, quality and practice uplift across crisis and transitional accommodation.
* Support implementation of a new service delivery and staffing model.
* Lead and support the reform team through change.
* Build strong sector relationships and represent NWTWS in key forums.
This role balances strategic leadership with a strong operational focus, ensuring reform translates into real change on the ground.
About You
You are a strategic, values-driven leader with experience delivering complex reform in human services settings. You bring strong operational leadership, deep sector knowledge and a commitment to improving outcomes for women and children.
You will have (or show the ability to quickly learn):
* Demonstrated senior leadership experience delivering significant change.
* Strong understanding of family and sexual violence and intersectional practice.
* Experience developing and implementing strategic and operational plans.
* High-level project management, communication and influencing skills.
* Excellent written skills, including reports, briefings and submissions.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or related field).
* Extensive operational leadership experience in a similar or related context.
* Current driver's licence.
* National Police Check (updated annually).
* Working with Vulnerable People registration.
Some out-of-hours or on-call work may be required.
