About Our Culinary Team
We are seeking an accomplished Head Chef to join our team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Bolton Clarke is a leading provider of aged care services in Australia, dedicated to enabling older Australians to live and age positively. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality food and catering services, we require a skilled Head Chef who can lead our culinary team and drive excellence in our kitchen operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision. They will also be expected to work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement menu plans that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
* Lead the culinary team to deliver fine dining-level cuisine and catering services that meet the specific needs of our residents.
* Manage the kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.
* Develop and implement menu plans that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, in consultation with the General Manager.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, as well as occupational health and safety regulations.
* Train and develop staff to deliver high-end product and plating.
* Roster staff, manage staff leave, and disciplinary matters, with guidance from the General Manager.
* Ensure purchasing and ordering of all stock and equipment is according to the Allity preferred supplier listing and nominated ordering system.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
* A current Safe Food Handling Certificate.
* Certificate or IV in Commercial Cookery (essential).
* Previous experience as a Chef in aged care essential.
* Flexibility & commitment to work extra hours is required.
* Knowledge of good hygiene practices.
* Good communication skills.
* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
* Professional presentation.
* Current COVID & Annual Flu Vaccination (Mandatory).
