WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist role offers the opportunity to provide clinical leadership in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within the Emergency Department. You will play a key role in ensuring patients receive appropriate occupational therapy assessment to address functional and environmental needs related to their current presentation, supporting safe and timely discharge.

The position combines advanced clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring and supervising occupational therapy and allied health staff, promoting evidence-based practice, and contributing to innovative care models, workforce strategies, research, and quality improvement initiatives across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network.

* Deliver patient-centred care, including functional assessment, intervention, and discharge planning.
* Assess and support patients' daily functional needs to improve safety and reduce readmission risk.
* Lead, mentor, and supervise occupational therapy and allied health staff.
* Support innovative care models, workforce strategies, and evidence-based practice.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and engage in quality improvement and research.
