About Tweed Valley Hospital

* Currently 280 beds with capability to expand to 430 beds
* Expansive outpatient facilities with opportunity to increase available clinics
* A developing interventional cardiology service
* A fully capable emergency department with 42 treatment spaces
* An integrated cancer care service with radiotherapy
* 12 operating theatres
* A dedicated Learning, Development & Research centre located on campus, with modern library facilities
* End of trip facilities (showers etc) and free staff parking

What You'll Be Doing

The primary purpose of the position is to provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism during the RANZCOG Advanced Training Program, with the goal of obtaining FRANZCOG. Advanced trainees will, under an appropriate level of supervision by senior staff as approved by the RANZCOG, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to female patients of all ages presenting in any condition or stage of pregnancy or the puerperium; and female patients presenting with illnesses, injuries and disorders of the gynaecological or genitourinary system.

* Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role (please address these in your response)
* Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients
* Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise
* Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
* Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
* Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self‑education.
* Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
