We are currently looking for a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic Accounts Hub. Previous motor trade experience would be an advantage but not essential.What you'll doYou will report into the Regional Accountant and your role will predominantly deal with:Checking and Loading payments onto the online banking system-Reviewing payment requests for completeness-Communicating with the different locations to resolve queries-Load payments onto the online banking system for approval-Process payments on the inhouse DMS system ensuring allocations are accurate.Monitor Bank Receipts to verify cleared funds to the operational team-Requests for confirmation of cleared funds will be received from all sites. This will be verified using the online banking system and confirmation returned to the sites.Other Duties:--Managing petty cash-Credit Control / chasing up payments etc-Reconciling and posting of PDQ daily-Processing daily bank payments & receipts-Supplier statement reconciliations-Processing of Purchase Ledger invoices-Allocation of the company credit card transactions-Work with both the finance and operational teams to maintain a robust control environment in line with Group and Brand policies and procedures-Ad hoc tasks as requiredAssist with:--General administration tasks-Assist the ledger teams where needed-Assist Accountant and Assistant Accountant with ad hoc tasksWho you areAs a person, you are highly organised with excellent attention to detail. An analytical thinker, you are good with numbers and solving problems. You have good interpersonal skills and can develop effective working relationships at all levels of the business. You are full of energy, self-motivated and make things happen - never settling for just the status quo.Your experienceTo be successful in this role you will have the following: -Experience within the automotive industry is preferable;Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger role;Knowledge of Kerridge would be an advantageHold an Accounting qualification or have a desire to study towards an industry-recognised qualification; andExcellent communication skills at all levels combined with an eye for detail.This is an excellent opportunity for to join our rapidly expanding and innovative business.
