Role overview :
We are seeking a hands-on
UX Strategist
to join an on-site engagement in Sydney, working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to drive structured discovery, define experience direction, and enable delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who can move from ambiguity to clarity and translate complex ecosystems into actionable, sprint-ready outputs.
What You'll Do
Discover
* Identify stakeholders and establish governance clarity
* Assess current-state processes, systems, and data flows
* Conduct stakeholder and user interviews
* Identify pain points, dependencies, and opportunity areas
* Define scope, objectives, and success criteria
Shape
* Define/validate personas and map end-to-end user journeys
* Perform gap analysis (current vs. desired state)
* Identify functional and non-functional requirements
* Define experience principles and solution direction
* Prioritize needs based on impact and feasibility
Activate
* Develop high-level solution concepts and key mock-ups in figma
* Redesign processes for simplicity and usability
* Create a phased roadmap for requirements and delivery
* Support backlog refinement and define user stories for initial sprints
* Present recommendations and secure stakeholder alignment
Tools
* Figma, Miro, Confluence, Slack and allied collaboration tools
What We're Looking For
* 6–10 years' experience in UX Strategy, Service Design, or Product Experience
* Strong discovery and ecosystem-mapping experience
* Experience working within Agile delivery teams
* Ability to collaborate closely with PMs, BAs, and Developers
* Strong facilitation, synthesis, and stakeholder management skills
* Confident presenting to senior stakeholders
* Available to work on-site in Sydney for 3 months
