About the role
UGL is seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to support a major LNG Turnaround at Wheatstone. This is a 4‐month contract on a 2:2 roster (12 hour days). Commencing June 2026, you will be responsible for providing critical support during the execution phases of a major LNG turnaround. This role is ideally suited to a supervisor with strong LNG/TAR experience, a solid understanding of SMP Planning and JDE (desirable), and the ability to operate independently in a fast‐paced, high‐compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and Lead: Directly manage and lead a team of Mechanical Tradesmen to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration in executing project tasks.
* Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work meets project standards and specifications.
* Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for Electrical activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimize project timelines.
* Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements and deadlines.
* Communication: Foster effective communication within the team and collaborate with other discipline supervisors and project managers to address challenges and ensure smooth project progression.
* Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to activities, providing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
* Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of SMP activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and any required project documentation.
About you
* Proven experience as a SMP Supervisor within LNG / Oil & Gas Turnaround environments.
* Strong hands‐on experience with SMP Planning & Execution (mandatory).
* Working knowledge of JDE and CMMS‐based job planning systems (highly desirable).
* Strong Excel capability and high computer literacy (Power BI and web‐based tools advantageous).
* Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with client representatives.
* Strong commitment to safety, quality and procedural discipline.
