Our City Works Road Construction team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to fill the position of Loader Operator. The role involves undertaking construction and maintenance of the City's roads, drainage and shared paths infrastructure in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner and to agreed quality standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience in road, drainage and shared path construction
* Practical experience with the safe operation of road construction equipment
* Current unrestricted HR-B (Heavy Rigid) class national driver's licence (as a minimum)
* Loader Operator's Accreditation Certificate
* Current Construction White Card
* Roller Operator's Accreditation Certificate
* Excellent observation and concentration skills
* Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to read and accurately interpret plans, operating procedures and safety instructions
* Be a team player
