About The Role:

The Expeditor is responsible for monitoring, following up and closing out open purchase orders to ensure the timely supply of goods and services to the Whyalla businesses. The role focuses on tracking order status, resolving delays with suppliers, expediting critical deliveries and ensuring purchase order data in the ERP system is accurate and current.

The role requires strong attention to detail, persistence in supplier follow-up, sound communication and basic negotiation skills to manage revised delivery dates and, where required, cancellation of aged or obsolete orders.

Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and expedite open and aged purchase orders in SAP, prioritising critical operational requirements
* Proactively liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve delays
* Escalate high-risk supply issues to minimise operational disruption
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date PO data within SAP
* Manage closure of aged and obsolete POs in line with Delegations of Authority
* Partner with Maintenance, Operations and Inventory to support shutdowns and critical work
* Provide regular reporting on expediting metrics and delivery risks
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance and audit requirements About You:
o Experience in purchasing, supply chain or inventory control (2+ years preferred)
o ERP system experience (SAP preferred), high computer literacy and exposure to supplier follow-up or order tracking
o Strong attention to detail for PO data (Dates, Quantities, Addresses, etc.) accuracy
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Sound organisational skills to manage multiple priorities
o Basic negotiation for delivery dates within DOA limits
o Drivers Licence
