The Opportunity
Are you ready to lead procurement for some of Western Australia’s most significant maritime infrastructure projects?
We’re seeking a highly experienced Principal Procurement Advisor to join our Fremantle Contracting Team. This is a pivotal role in the delivery of high‑risk, high‑value capital works, including projects tied to current election commitments. You’ll be at the forefront of strategic procurement and contract management, helping shape the future of WA’s transport infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- Lead the full lifecycle of contract management for major maritime and infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert advice on complex works contracting, procurement planning, and supplier negotiations.
- Ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and value‑for‑money outcomes across high‑profile engagements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to policy development and strategic procurement frameworks.

Two (2) permanent full‑time positions are available for immediate filling. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months from the date of first appointment across the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure.
