Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist physiotherapy clinical service provision at Level 6.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurological, rehabilitation or aged care physiotherapy and be able to demonstrate advanced practice skills.
* Provide specialist physiotherapy clinical service provision at Level 6.
* Lead clinical research, evidence-based practice and quality improvement for the department and across SWSLHD.
* Lead service development and evaluation; apply advanced reasoning and clinical practice in complex cases.
* Provide expert consultation and education across SWSLHD in the area of specialization.
* Supervise, teach and train Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and students.
The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse patients and teams.
Key Qualifications and Skills
* Postgraduate qualifications and/or demonstrated peer recognition as a specialist through publications and teaching.
* Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to build partnerships.
* Extensive clinical specialty knowledge and advanced practice in Neurological, Rehabilitation or Aged Care Physiotherapy.
* Current Authority to Practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
* Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
