We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to take full ownership of a large-scale DoD contract/account. This position is based in Melbourne, FL, and candidates will be required to be onsite daily. Relocation expenses will not be covered by the employer or client, they are the candidates responsibility if they are selected for this role. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience managing programs within a large DoD environment. The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall execution and delivery of the contract, ensuring that all objectives, deadlines, and budgets are met while adhering to DoD regulations and security requirements. Applicants responding to this position must be a US Citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. Corp-to-Corp or subcontract personnel will not be considered for this position Responsibilities: Manages all operational aspects of project to include cost, schedule, and technical performance management; personnel and subcontractor management; and other related operations activities. Leadership & Team Management : Lead a cross-functional team of professionals, including engineers, analysts, and support staff, ensuring clear direction, collaboration, and performance towards achieving contract objectives. Client and Stakeholder Engagement : Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and government clients. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior leadership, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations. Risk and Issue Management : Proactively identify potential risks and issues affecting the contract, developing and executing mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and ensure continuous program progress. Budget and Resource Oversight : Oversee the management of program resources, including budget allocation, personnel, and technology, to ensure efficient execution of program objectives while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Identifies resources required for the project and oversees employee selection, hiring, and development. Compliance & Quality Assurance : Ensure all deliverables meet DoD security and quality standards, and comply with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Program Performance Tracking : Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Agile) to track program performance, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership and government stakeholders. Performs continuous review of program performance results and interfaces with client to address status, operational issues, and metrics in a timely manner. Ensures the program adheres to the necessary security protocols, maintaining strict confidentiality for all sensitive information in line with DoD requirements. Serves as key team member in proposal efforts and sales calls to develop solutions that meet client expectations. Communicate with the corporate office on all matters related to contract execution and performance such as personnel safety, deliverables, personnel issues (to include staffing performance), contract task conflicts, contract scope, contract financials, etc. Provides leadership, direction, and necessary resources to ensure successful and effective contract performance in the areas of quality of work; cost productivity; compliance with established procedures; timeliness; accuracy; and cooperation. Requirements Required Qualifications: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Program Manager managing service type, performance-based government contracts with multi-disciplinary Information Technology staff A minimum of three (3) years of experience with large-scale DoD organizations. Project Management Expertise : Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), with hands-on experience in managing large contracts, budgets, and schedules. Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage cross-functional groups, and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving Ability : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to address challenges and provide actionable solutions in a high-stakes environment. Tools & Software : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira), and other relevant tools. Being onsite during normal business hours and the being able to report back within one hour after notification when contract performance occurs outside normal duty hours. Ability to acquire a Secret Security clearance. And acquire and maintain government identification/common access card (CAC). Preferred if candidates currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance or higher Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. Please note that any usage and detection of cannabis with or without a prescription will result in a failed clearance regardless of the legalization under State Laws. U.S. Citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements. Education: Bachelor Degree or higher degree from an accredited university in engineering, business administration/management, or a closely related field. Certifications: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Preferred).
