Key Responsibilities Manage and support the end-to-end accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance Lead month-end and year-end closing, working with external accountants as required Prepare board reports and participate in meetings with senior stakeholders Oversee and support bookkeeping activities (in-house and outsourced teams) Maintain and improve Xero-based systems and workflows Use advanced Excel skills to enhance reporting and processes Contribute to job costing, management accounting, and variance analysis Investigate financial discrepancies, identify root causes, and drive improvement initiatives Assist with the fixed asset register, depreciation, and disposals Prepare month-end reporting, reconciliations, and statutory accounts Support adjacent projects and teams, based on your skills and interests Who We're Looking For Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent) with 2-3 years' experience in a medium-sized business Willing to work hands-on as part of a close-knit team and adapt to seasonal priorities Curious, proactive, and passionate about learning and improving Strong relationship-building and communication skills, able to provide direction assertively and diplomatically Advanced user of Xero and Excel with an automation mindset Detail oriented, analytical, and comfortable investigating and problem-solving Motivated to develop management accounting and leadership capabilities What's in it for you?
