About the role
Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology (DHM) is seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Pathologist with a dedicated interest or subspecialty-expertise in Gynaecological Pathology to join our premier sub-specialised unit, GynaePath.
GynaePath is Australia's largest and most specialised gynaecological and reproductive pathology practice, operating as a centre of excellence within Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology. It is a high-volume, specialised service, providing expert diagnostic support to gynaecologists, oncologists and GPs across Australia.
This role offers the chance to work in a team of expert pathologists at the forefront of the field, engaging with complex surgical cases, advanced molecular diagnostics and a diverse range of cytopathology.
In the role, you will:
* Provide high-level diagnostic reporting across a broad range of gynaecological histopathology and cytopathology.
* Collaborate closely with clinical colleagues through Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and clinical consultations.
* Participate in the supervision and training of pathology registrars and scientific staff.
* Contribute to the department's ongoing quality assurance programs and clinical research initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A Medical Degree and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent specialist recognition.
* Demonstrated expertise or a strong fellowship-level interest in gynaecological pathology.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing a consultant-grade service to our referring practitioners.
