**Role Summary**:
Our Maintenance Officer provides quality maintenance and gardening services to our Carinya of Bicton and Carinya on Bristol facilities and surrounding grounds. You'll be responsible for typical duties such as maintaining garden beds, lawn mowing, reticulation maintenance, overseeing maintenance contractors, pruning, window cleaning and anything else of a similar nature that is required. In providing these services to the facilities, you will play a crucial role in bettering the lives of our residents and contributing to creating a homely environment for them.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Procuring maintenance services and overseeing the work of contractors on site
- Maintenance and cleaning for the windows, entrances/exits and car parks
- Fertilising and aerating lawns
- Trimming and pruning trees
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Updating records and keeping stock for all required chemicals and/or equipment
- Identifying potential hazards/risks and taking preventative actions to address them
- Contributing towards a customer service experience for the residents
**This role is being hired on a casual basis and works across both our Bicton and Bristol facilities.**
**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:
We are hoping to find someone who has significant maintenance/gardening experience and who feels comfortable and familiar with performing these types of duties. We are also hoping to find someone who has a comprehensive understanding of facility services/equipment relating to gas, water and power. Most important will be your preparedness to go above and beyond to best assist the facility and your ability to impress the residents with your end product and customer service skills
