About the Role
As a Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high‐quality tax, accounting, and advisory services across a broad client portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing individual, company, trust, partnership, and SMSF tax returns
* Preparing and reviewing BAS, IAS, GST, and other compliance obligations
* Preparing financial statements and reconciliations
* Supporting tax planning, structuring, and advisory engagements
* Liaising with clients, the ATO, and external stakeholders
* Assisting with accounting workflows and cloud‐based systems (Xero/MYOB)
* Supporting senior team members on client engagements
* Contributing to process improvement and efficiency initiatives
What We're Looking For
* 2–3 years of Australian accounting and tax experience (public practice preferred)
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Strong understanding of Australian tax compliance requirements
* Experience with Xero, MYOB, or similar cloud accounting platforms
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a client‐focused environment
* CA / CPA / ACCA (completed or in progress) will be highly regarded
