We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Venue Operations Supervisor to help shape the future of arts and culture in our region.
Saltwater Busselton:
Be part of something extraordinary from the ground up. Saltwater Busselton (currently under construction) is in the heart of Busselton’s Cultural Precinct and is due to open early 2026. It is a multi-use facility which features an A-class art gallery, 640 seat theatre and a state of the art conference suite overlooking the beautiful Geographe Bay.
About the role:
As the Venue Operations Supervisor, you’ll be the heartbeat of Saltwater’s day-to-day operations, ensuring every event, performance, and visitor experience runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll lead a team of Front of House, Box Office, Casual Bar and Function staff, Cleaners, and Volunteers, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and outstanding customer service.
Working closely with the Technical Services team, you’ll coordinate all operational aspects of events, from intimate performances to large-scale productions and conferences, ensuring a seamless delivery and an unforgettable experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Overseeing daily operations across the Cultural Precinct
- Leading and managing a diverse team of staff and volunteers
- Coordinating event logistics in collaboration with Technical Services
- Ensuring high standards of customer service and venue presentation
- Maintaining administrative systems and operational procedures
- Supporting community engagement and maximising return on investment
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Exceptional communication and people management skills
- Robust administrative and organisational abilities
- A calm, cooperative, and customer-focused approach
- Proven experience in venue or event operations
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
Hours and conditions:
Ordinary hours are during standard office hours, but flexibility is essential. This role will include occasional evening and weekend work aligned with event schedules.
