Production Assembly Technician/Electronics Technician - Production & Assembly/ Mechatronics Production Engineer
The role is a full‐time position based at our O'Connor office in Western Australia. You will work within the production team, assisting with the build, testing and repair of Nexxis robotic and electromechanical equipment.
Nexxis designs and manufactures its own robotics and electromechanical products. This is a bench‐based electronics role in a workshop environment focused on precision assembly, testing, fault diagnosis and repair.
If you have hands‐on experience in electronics, circuit board repairs, soldering, production assembly, electromechanical builds or fault finding, we would like to hear from you.
Experience working in a production, assembly, service or repair environment with an understanding of QA/QC processes will be highly regarded.
Your Main Duties
* Build and assemble Nexxis‐designed robotics and electromechanical products in a production environment.
* Use electronic test equipment to diagnose circuit faults.
* Perform soldering, wiring, assembly, manufacturing, installation and testing of OEM robotic and electromechanical sub‐assemblies and products.
* Ensure all builds comply with drawings and manufacturing requirements.
* Conduct fault finding and repair of electronics to board level.
* Analyse, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
* Electronics, Mechanical Trade, Mechatronics Engineering qualification or equivalent.
* Demonstrated hands‐on experience in soldering, assembly or electromechanical work.
* Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Experience using electronic test and diagnostic equipment.
* Full Australian driver's licence.
* Strong technical ability in testing, repairing and building electronics.
You Will Need
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical or Electronics Technician or in a similar role.
* Or experience in a hands‐on Mechatronics Engineering position.
* Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills at component and board level.
* Attention to detail and a methodical approach to production builds.
* Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
* A flexible and proactive attitude.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
* Willingness to learn and adapt.
* Good time management and multitasking skills.
