Electrical Supervisor / Leading Hand – Marine & Generator Experience

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Supervisor / Leading Hand with proven experience in marine electrical systems and power generation equipment. This role involves a mix of in office supervision, hands-on technical support, and some FIFO project work, overseeing the delivery of electrical works to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical teams across marine and generator projects.
- Coordinate project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise, including troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and company procedures.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to maintain quality outcomes.
- Mentor and support apprentices and tradespeople.
Skills & Experience
- Current Electrical Licence (essential).
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience.
- Strong background in marine electrical systems and diesel/gas generators.
- Willingness to undertake FIFO work as required.
- Excellent fault-finding, commissioning, and maintenance skills.
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZS standards and marine compliance requirements.
- Current driver's licence.
- Current First Aid certification and CPR/LVR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance within 30 days of employment.
- Current Construction White Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
- Current Electrical Licence - A Grade (essential)
