GO OFFSHORE PTY LTD (GO) is a leading energy services provider specialising in the delivery of safe, high‑quality marine and logistics solutions to the offshore oil and gas sector. We currently operate and manage vessels across Timor Leste, Southeast Asia, the North Sea, Taiwan, Mexico, Brunei, the Middle East and Australia.
As we continue to grow and diversify our global operations, we are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join our Senior Leadership Team. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial strategy and long‑term success of a complex, high‑performing offshore marine organisation. It presents an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute and forward‑thinking finance leader to guide a skilled team, drive operational excellence, and support critical decision‑making across a diverse international fleet and project portfolio.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer is accountable for shaping, implementing and managing the financial strategy that underpins the Company’s long‑term vision. This executive-level role provides strategic leadership across organisational structure, business planning, policy and process development, team capability, and external stakeholder engagement. The CFO is also responsible for robust resource allocation and risk management frameworks, ensuring the Company’s operational and financial resilience both in the short and long term.
As Chief Financial Officer, you will:
Lead the development and execution of the Company’s financial strategy, policies and long‑term planning
Oversee all financial operations, ensuring effective financial governance, compliance and commercial performance
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors
Manage budgeting, forecasting, consolidated reporting and financial performance analysis across global operations
Lead statutory, taxation, audit, credit and cash‑flow management to ensure strong financial stability and compliance
Partner with senior leaders to strengthen financial systems, processes and capabilities that support business growth
Evaluate major investments, acquisitions, divestments and strategic proposals through detailed financial analysis
Represent the Company in dealings with banks, auditors, legal advisers, regulators and key external stakeholders
Build, lead and develop a high‑performing finance team, driving accountability, capability and continuous improvement
Contribute to broader company strategy, business development initiatives and major corporate projects, including potential IPO readiness
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Accounting and Finance
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia – CA membership completed
Approximately 15 years’ experience in similar roles within large organisations (USD 70m+)
Minimum five years’ management experience, including oversight of divisional or functional senior managers, with at least three years in a multi‑company environment
Extensive experience preparing consolidated accounts, including those involving foreign‑denominated entities
Detailed understanding of AIFRS/IFRS reporting requirements
Strong knowledge of accounting systems, with experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and XERO software highly desirable
Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite
Comprehensive understanding of management accounting, account maintenance and financial analysis
Detailed knowledge of taxation legislation (BAS, FBT, income tax, and relevant international tax requirements), with at least five years’ post‑graduate tax analysis experience
General understanding of the oil and gas industry, preferably within a marine, vessel chartering or vessel management context will be highly regarded
